Attributions of the Presidential Transition Council Members

After more than a month of deliberations, the members of the Presidential Transition Council (PTC) and the resigning Council of Ministers published in Le Moniteur on May 27, 2024, the decree on the organization and functioning of the PTC. The document defines, among other things, the attributions of presidential advisers, the duration of the transition, the major projects of the transition, and the organization and functioning of the PTC.

Slowly and with great difficulty, the members of the Presidential Council are beginning to give their own legal framework to the transition. The latest official decisions by the PTC are the appointment of Garry Conille by decree and the publication of the decree on the organization and functioning of the PTC in Le Moniteur. This decree emphasizes that it maintains the provisions of Article 5 of the decree establishing the PTC published by former Prime Minister Ariel Henry.
