Fête Saut-d’Eau

Saut-d'Eau or (Sodo in Haitian Kreyòl) (or literally waterfall), located in the Central Department attracts many visitors year round. Its inhabitants welcome annually a large pilgrimage during the Our Lady of Carmel Festival which takes place from July 14–16, 2016.

In French the word Saut-d'Eau translates to 'waterfall', Haiti’s waterfall is named after one of its large waterfall called 'Le Saut'. The area holds cultural significance in Haiti, to both Catholic and Vodou practitioners.
