Top 10 busiest airports in the Caribbean

Due to the small size of the overwhelming majority of Caribbean islands, international traffic is mainly oriented to North America and Europe, responsible for most of the tourists visiting the region. These two regions are the main homelands of the large Caribbean diaspora. Domestic traffic is equally low.

In the top 30 busiest airports in the Caribbean, the 10 best are San Luis MM Puerto Rico, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, Nassau, Santo Domingo, Montego Bay (Jamaica), Port of Spain ( Trinidad & Tobago), Havana, Aruba, Curaçao and St. Maarten. This ranking is provided by a recent study by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) titled "Air transport in the Caribbean."
