Carifiesta Montreal: Haiti has given its best

On July 4th, Montreal celebrated the 40th edition of its Carifiesta. Haiti's participation in this event, on the initiative of the association Ayiti Makaya, brought color, animation, and especially a rara ambience to the carnival parade

"This is a 100% success,” said Angelo Deye, head of Ayiti Makaya, referring to Haiti's participation in the 40th Carifiesta. From floats to folk dances and a parade, rue Sainte-Catherine of downtown Montreal was transformed into a theater. Through all kinds of printed t-shirts, handkerchiefs, caps, clothing ... the Haitian flag was honored. The Haitian community was mobilized and perhaps more numerous than those from everywhere.
