Disappearance of the Four Salvadorans: Bukele Issues a Warning to Gangs

The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, issued a warning to Haitian gangs who allegedly "kidnapped" four Salvadoran aviation technicians as they were returning from a supermarket. In a post published on X on Wednesday, Bukele confirmed the launch of a military operation aimed at rescuing them. He demanded their immediate and unharmed release, stating that "today's attack is nothing compared to what will happen" if the victims are not returned alive. He reminded that he had already neutralized gangs in El Salvador and threatened to resort to the same firmness.
