A judge in New Mexico was ordered on Wednesday to pay $25 billion for deceiving residents of this U.S. state about the use of their personal data, in a case stemming from the Cambridge Analytica scandal, according to multiple American media outlets. New Mexico is the only state to have brought the Cambridge Analytica scandal to court. Other U.S. states that were suing Meta (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram...) sold their claims at the end of August for $459 million, as part of a broader settlement over minor protection.<\/p>
