The head of the Russian foreign ministry stated on Monday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky "did not deserve" a truce to organize a presidential election in Ukraine.
"I do not think he deserves this respite, I do not think we will once again allow ourselves to be bought by assurances and promises," said Sergei Lavrov at a press conference.
The Ukrainian leader has called for a "60-day" ceasefire with Russia, notably to organize elections after a call from Donald Trump to change the president in Ukraine.
