Marie Ange Lorméus installed as the new director of the CAS

The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Marc-Elie Nelson, inaugurated Marie Ange Lorméus as the new director of the Social Assistance Fund (CAS) on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. During the ceremony, the minister called for the strengthening of institutional management, transparency, and traceability of expenditures, in order to ensure equitable assistance to vulnerable individuals. For her part, the new director announced a review of the institution and promised to focus on rigor, transparency, and improving the reception of beneficiaries.<\/p>
