The Haitian government published a decree on Monday, August 24, 2026, setting the opening and closing dates of the school year as well as the dates of official examinations. This text, now applicable throughout the national territory, establishes a uniform calendar for all schools in the Republic.
According to Article 2 of the decree, the school year now runs from the first Monday in September to the second Friday in July. The two weeks preceding this opening date are reserved for administrative and pedagogical entry. Article 3 further
