The Iranian Revolutionary Guards claimed on Wednesday that two tankers caught fire after hitting mines while transiting through the Strait of Hormuz outside a route designated by Iranian forces.<\/p>
In a statement, the Guards stated that the two vessels had requested the "U.S. military to transit through an illegal route" before "hitting mines and exploding," adding that they "are currently on fire".<\/p>
