The American justice system delivered its verdict on Friday, May 8, 2026, in a trial held in Miami. Four indicted men were found guilty of conspiracy to assassinate President Jovenel Moïse. Their sentences will be handed down at a later date.
With these four new convictions, the number of people tried and found guilty in this case now stands at nine.
Many Haitian observers expressed frustration following this new trial. They did not hear the names they had hoped to see appear among the accused or the convicted.
