The Trump administration has asked the Supreme Court to end the temporary legal protections currently benefiting more than 350,000 Haitians, who are presently protected from deportation in the United States.

This request to the nation’s highest court comes after two lower courts refused to allow the administration to end the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) granted to Haiti, which was supposed to expire on February 3, the Miami Herald reported.
