The commune of L’Estère was once again struck by an attack from the gang Kokorat san ras on the morning of Monday, September 22, 2025. The assailants set fire to more than a dozen houses, killed one person, and wounded several others by gunfire. This offensive comes barely 24 hours after the one carried out in Kapenyen, where several homes had already been reduced to ashes.
At around 10 a.m., several heavily armed men stormed part of the commune. Before launching the attack, they blocked National Highway No. 1
