The new Penal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure will enter into force on December 24, 2025. If the various actors in the judicial system do not receive the necessary technical support for the adoption and implementation of the new Codes, this could have serious consequences on the functioning of justice in the country. It is in this regard that the Commission for the Implementation of Penal Reform in Haiti, in an open letter, calls on the authorities to make this support a priority to avoid judicial cacophony.
