“One Must Be a Leader to Lead,” Declares Delmas Mayor Wilson Jeudy

With the growing grip of gangs on neighboring communes, Delmas is receiving more and more displaced people. For several months now, the address of many public and private institutions has been located in Delmas. Mayor Wilson Jeudy acknowledges: without the construction and rehabilitation of roads, automobile traffic would today be impossible in his commune.

Delmas is one of the few communes—if not the only one—to enjoy administrative and financial autonomy. At the head of the municipality for 18 years, Wilson Jeudy has set up a system of tax collection.
