Predner Duvivier: A Professional Career Dedicated to the UEH

He has a 29-year career at the State University of Haiti (UEH). An agronomist engineer by training and university professor, Predner Duvivier climbed the ranks to become Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at the Executive Council of UEH. A long journey for the native of Anse-à-Veau who began his studies at UEH after being admitted to the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine (FAMV) in 1989.

Originally from the Nippes department, it was his secondary studies at Lycée Alexandre Pétion that brought him to Port-au-Prince after completing primary school at the National School of Javel, in the commune of Anse-à-Veau.

Driven by his love for plants and animals, Predner Duvivier chose FAMV for his university studies, even though he had also been accepted into the École Normale Supérieure the same year. “I was born into a farming family. My parents worked the land,” he said when as
