The mission’s terms and objectives should remain unchanged; however, the duration of its mandate will be shortened — six months instead of a full year.

This reduction in the BINUH’s mission duration is explained by lingering doubts about its effectiveness and by the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the role the UN is supposed
