Security Concerns, Fragile Political Cohesion, and a Call to the Elites: Fritz Alphonse Jean Speaks Out

Invited to the program Le Point on Radio Télé Métropole this Friday, July 11, 2025, Fritz Alphonse Jean, president of the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT), discussed the critical security challenges facing Haiti, the limitations of the multinational mission led by Kenya, and internal tensions within the CPT. He also took the opportunity to issue a call for national unity toward a national rescue effort.

When questioned by journalist Wendell Théodore about the frequent takeovers of neighborhoods by armed gangs, Fritz Jean sought to temper perceptions. “No. The criminal gangs are advancing every day.
