On June 25, 2024, the first contingent of Kenyan police officers landed in Port-au-Prince. Faced with gang violence, the arrival of the 400 Kenyan police officers was well received by a significant portion of the population. No study or opinion poll was published to determine what percentage of the population supported or opposed the arrival of the Kenyans in Haiti. One year later, it is difficult to precisely assess the level of satisfaction or disappointment among Haitians regarding the work of the Kenyan police officers.
