CPT Voices Solidarity with the Dominican Republic After Jet Set Tragedy

The Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) expressed, on Wednesday, April 9, its "deep sadness" following the "tragic collapse of the roof of the Jet Set nightclub in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic." This tragedy, which occurred during the night of April 7 to 8, caused "numerous losses of human life," plunging the neighboring country into mourning.

In a press release published this Wednesday and consulted by Le Nouvelliste, the CPT extended its "heartfelt condolences to the Dominican people, as well as to the families of the victims who are deeply affected by this tragedy." The statement also emphasized the CPT's "commitment to the values of regional solidarity," reaffirming its support for the Dominican neighbors in these "moments of mourning."
