Women's Football: Two Young Grenadières Highlight Haiti in Nicaragua

Many Haitian-trained female footballers are scattered across the globe. Among them, two young Grenadières, Alcide Withmilla Pierre and Rebecca Dorcély, who were interviewed by Le Nouvelliste, are continuing their journey with Leones Futbol Alma, a first-division team in Nicaragua’s national league.

France remains a stronghold for Haitian footballers, alongside the United States and other countries like Russia, Portugal, Turkey, and notably Nicaragua, which is home to these two young Grenadières.

Arriving at the end of 2023, Alcide Withmilla Pierre and Rebecca Dorcély became key players for Leones Futbol Alma, helping the team retain its place among the elite of Nicaraguan women's football.
