According to the IOM, these migrants had spent several months, or even years, living outside Haiti. They now face significant challenges in reintegrating into their communities. "The security and socio-economic conditions in Haiti make this reintegration even more difficult. As a result, many people, even after being forced back to Haiti, attempt irregular migration routes again, sometimes multiple times, in search of a better life abroad," the report stated.
