Dr. Aristide University Hospital Provides Low-Cost Childbirth and Pap Tests

Dr. Aristide University Hospital is launching a program from May 27 to June 30, 2024, to provide almost free childbirth services. This program, initially introduced last year in celebration of Mother’s Day, has been renewed and expanded this year. During this period, the hospital will also offer Pap tests at a reduced cost.

"Every year, the Aristide Foundation University (UNIFA) and Dr. Aristide University Hospital join forces to reach out and assist the population. We decided to renew this program to support the community," explained Dr. Joseph Edmond Pierre, the medical director of Dr. Aristide University Hospital, on Monday, May 27, during an interview on Magik9.

Regarding the childbirth services, Dr. Pierre emphasized that "Patients will not have to pay for either the delivery or the attending physician." However, he clarified
