Moïse Jean-Charles Refuses the Transitional Presidential Council

The leader of Pitit Dessalines, Moïse Jean-Charles, has stated his rejection of the Caricom-proposed seven-member Presidential Council with two observers. "Caricom cannot present us with a seven-headed serpent," he exclaimed. "I do not wish for Caricom to prolong the crisis," Moïse Jean-Charles said before calling for popular mobilization.
