On Friday, March 1, 2024, Kenya and Haiti officially finalized the deployment of 1,000 Kenyan police officers to Haiti. The reciprocal agreement, mandated by a Nairobi court in January, was signed by Cabinet Secretary for Interior Kithure Kindiki and Haitian Minister James P. Cadet, in the presence of Kenyan President William Ruto and Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry.
