This week, the Permanent Delegation of Haiti to UNESCO officially submitted the candidacy of the historical site Bois-Caïman to the UNESCO Network of Sites Related to the History and Memory of Slavery. Haiti's Ambassador to UNESCO, Dominique Dupuy, informed the newspaper that the announcement of the candidacy's status is scheduled twice a year, on March 25 and April 23.
