Four Judges Assigned for Corruption and Ex-Bâtonnier Dorval's Murder Investigation

The dean of the Port-au-Prince Court of First Instance, Attorney Bernard Saint-Vil, has appointed four judges to handle several high-profile cases, including the assassination of Bar President Monferrier Dorval and the cases of journalist Diego Charles and activist Antoinette Duclaire. Additionally, some corruption cases involving the ULCC have been assigned.

Another judge, Merlan Bellabre, has been designated to investigate the assassination of Bar President Monferrier Dorval, replacing three judges who recused themselves from the case. The dossier of the assassination of journalist Diego Charles and activist Antoinette Duclaire has also been assigned to him.

Merlan Bellabre takes over after Judge Marthel Jean-Claude recused himself from the Dorval assassination case due to a lack of resources for the investigation.

Dean Saint-Vil has also entrusted the thorny corruption case
