The United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), in collaboration with the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), presented its report on the human rights situation in the Artibonite department on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the Karibe Hotel. The report highlights a climate of fear in lower Artibonite, where murders, sexual violence, theft, property destruction, and other abuses are committed against the population almost daily.
