Haitian Chancellor Jean Victor Généus explained in an interview with Le Nouvelliste the reasons for the delay in delivering passports to Haitian nationals in the Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Chile. He also announced measures and offered apologies to those affected.
"For seven weeks, the passport production and issuance section came to a complete halt. It was necessary to call in engineers to solve this problem," Jean Victor Généus confided to Le Nouvelliste.
