"The escalation of gang violence, widespread impunity, endemic corruption... The crisis in Haiti has worsened over the past year," warned the UN Secretary-General on Wednesday, calling for 'strong international support'.
"The multifaceted crisis in Haiti, marked primarily by organized gang violence, has worsened further since the implementation of the sanctions regime" in October 2022, which currently only targets a gang leader, wrote Antonio Guterres in a document released on Wednesday.
