Women's World Cup: "We Needed to Perform Better," Admits Chelsea Surpris

Starting as a right-back against Denmark on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Rectangular Stadium in Perth, Australia, Chelsea Ariane Surpris, who expressed her pride in playing for Haiti, acknowledged that she and her teammates needed to perform better in this World Cup.

"It's always an honor and a source of pride to represent my country. We gave our best effort. However, in front of the goals, we needed to perform better, just as we did in defense," acknowledged Chelsea Surpris. She firmly believes that the team has the potential to strengthen and qualify for future editions of the World Cup.
