Free movement of Haitians in Caricom, Peterson B. Noël provides clarification

Peterson Benjamin Noël, former ambassador of Haiti to Caricom, spoke on Panel Magik about Caricom's provisions on the free movement of people. Invited to the edition of Wednesday, July 12, 2023, Mr. Noël provided explanations regarding this decision, which has generated significant reactions in Haiti.

As of March 30, 2024, citizens of Caricom member countries will be able to travel, live, and work without restrictions in other member countries, except for Haiti. This decision was made during the 45th regular meeting of Caricom Heads of State and Government held from July 3rd to 5th, 2023, in Trinidad and Tobago.
