CAC 2023: Haiti to start their football journey on Thursday against the Centro Caribe Sports team

Against the representative team of Centro Caribe Sports, predominantly composed of athletes from Guatemala (as Guatemala is prohibited from participating in these games), on Thursday, June 29, starting at 5:00 p.m. (Port-au-Prince time) at Estadio Nacional Las Delicias, the Haitian women's football team, who have been in El Salvador since Saturday, June 24, will play their first match in Group A before facing Venezuela and Costa Rica. Their objective is to qualify for the semifinals of the women's football tournament at the Central American and Caribbean Games.

In pursuit of their first medal in the Salvadoran Games, Haiti will heavily rely on their women's national team. To achieve this, the team coached by Fiorda Charles will kick off the competition against the Centro Caribe Sports team, consisting of athletes from Guatemala. In preparation for this match, the national team has had four training sessions.
