Croquettes de l’arbre véritable à la Morue

Breadfruit (arbre véritable) is a staple in Haitian cuisine. The literal translation of arbre véritable is true tree. In Haiti however, its name in Kreyòl is lam veritab (true soul). It is a starchy fruit which is loaded with vitamins and nutrients. The tree produces about 200 fruits per season snd can grow to be quite tall 80 to 90 feet. Young chefs are utilizing the lam veritab to develop gourmet dishes and the following is a favorite here.
