Haiti to participate in third edition of Expo ALADI

From October 19-21, 2016 the third edition of the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI in Spanish) Expo will take place in Coahuila, Mexico. In order to promote this activity, a multisectoral delegation came from Mexico to visit Haiti. During this visit, the delegation met with several Haitian officials including the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Jessy C. Petit-Frere and the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries, Guy Didier Hyppolite.

The Mexican officials took the opportunity to invite the Haitian private sector to take part in this exhibition for the first time in order to increase trade between Haiti and the ALADI member countries. For this edition, in addition to the 13 ALADI member countries, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago and five other Central American countries were invited to participate. This decision, according to the Mexican Embassy in Port-au-Prince, is taken as part of efforts to strengthen economic relations between Mexico and these countri
