Tropicana of Haiti invited to the Montreal Jazz Festival

Our premier compas band, Tropicana of Haiti, is preparing to celebrate its 53rd anniversary August 15th. The day before the celebration, at a time when the orchestra is performing at fêtes champêtres and shows throughout Haiti, Tropicana was invited to attend the Montreal Jazz Festival! This is the first time that Tropicana will take part in this event.

During their time in Montreal, Tropicana will be welcomed at the Montreal City Hall on Thursday, June 30, 2016 for the second time by Mayor Denis Coderre. Note that in November 2013, to commemorate their 50th anniversary, Tropicana of Haiti, was already invited to the Montreal City Hall by newly elected Mayor Denis Coderre, and Diane De Courcy, Minister of Immigration, Culture and Charter of the French language of Canada, and at which time they were awarded a plaque of honor.
