Marc Xavier, Guardian of Literature

Beyond his thirty year career as a literature professor and an active career as a writer, Marc Exavier is known for encouraging reading especially among young people. For the man who was selected as one of the “Guardians of the Book” during this year’s Livre en Folie, there is hope for his cause in a country where the fight against illiteracy is far from won.
