Haiti’s First International surf competition a Success

From April 30th to May 1st, Cayes Jacmel was host to Haiti’s first international surf competition. All eyes were on Cayes-Jacmel, more specifically on Kabik Beach as the competition took place on the banks of the Kabikbeach. By all accounts said competition organized by Surf Haiti was a great success.

Surf Haiti has been working since 2010 to assist underprivileged children of the area by providing them with surfing tools and has also been striving to establish Jacmel as tourist destination for surfers. Christian Surfers, Surf Haiti, Haiti Surf Guesthouse, Audio Institute, La reference, Marina Blue, Fosaj, Alliance Francaise, Haïtian Ministry of Tourism, Phix Doctor, Boukan Guinguette, the Cayes-Jacmel City Council, and the Dominican Republic partnered to organize the surf competition which included international surfers as well as expert j
