Grand Finale of “Clairin World Championship 2016” to be held in Haiti

Although mixology is present in Haiti, the agricultural rum that Haitians call Clairin is consumed in its original state. llThe first Clairin World Championship consists of three phases: the preliminary selection, the semi-finals which will take place in Paris, and the finale in Haiti. For Phase I, the participants were invited to present a cocktail recipe using Clairin in a 3 minute video which included a short 30 second speech in which participants explained how they were inspired by the Haitian culture to develop their very own Clairin cocktail using Clairin Sajous, Clairin Vaval, or Clairin Casimir. The semi-finals (Phase 2) will take place in Paris, France.
