École nationale de l’humour is serious

On September 17th, the general director and teacher at École nationale de l’humour (National School of Humor) (ENH in French) of Montreal, Louise Richer confirmed the continuation of necessary steps for the opening of the ENH. "The projects are bigger than me. I will continue the project," said Richer at an evening tribute to the Haitian community of Montreal. Since 2012, a benefit concert, HahaHaïti, is organized annually to finance the training of Haitian comedians in Port-au-Prince.

The interim head of the Consulate General of Haiti in Montreal, Kurdy Larèche, confirmed the will of the Haitian government to carry through with the MOU that was signed between the ENH and the Ministry of Culture of Haiti. Larèche pledged to "monitor the next steps that will lead to the inauguration of the ENH in mid-November in Haiti.” A director of the ENH in Montreal will take the reins of the ENHH for the first year to ensure the rigor and academic requirements.
