Timoun Ayiti Demen joins in the fight for children's rights

63.1% of children were victims of psychological aggression in schools, according to a study by United Nations Children’s Fund (UNCF) on the situation of children in Haiti in 2013. This study also reveals that 78.3% children were subjected to corporal punishment in schools. These figures prove that there are still many children deprived of their rights. Timoun Ayiti Demen is the name of a new foundation that advocates for the rights of children.

The foundation launched a summer from the of 15th July to 2nd of August in Delmas on the premises of College Maximilien Robespierre . During the camp, the children learned to dance and paint. Timoun Ayiti Demen also taught the children to acquire a taste for reading and theater. This event was culminated with a variety show put on by the children to an audience, of parents, friends and guests.
