Haiti qualifies for CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinals

Two years after a 0-2 defeat in its first match of the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup against Honduras, the Haitian national team won 1-0 in its last match of the group stage in Group A and qualified for the 2015 quarterfinals.

Haitian player Duckens Nazon scored the only goal and Haiti is on its way to advance from the group stage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup with a 1-0 victory over Honduras on July 13th. Nazon scored his second goal of the tournament in the 14th minute, shooting the ball past Honduras goalkeeper Donis Escober. Honduras had many chances to score the equalizer point during the second half of the game, including a shot from Erick Andino that was blocked by the Haitian goalkeeper Johny Placide in the 58th minute of the game.
