Haiti's tourism sector welcomes the arrival of the Marriott

On February 24th, Digicel received the keys of the new Marriott Hotel in Turgeau (Port-au-Prince). The ceremony took place in the presence of President Michel Martelly, Prime Minister Evans Paul, former Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, Haitian and foreign officials, and personalities working in the tourism sector.

ll45 million USD was invested by the Digicel Group for the construction of the Marriott. The hotel, which will create 200 direct jobs, is 10.5 km from the international airport and will offer its services to its first customers in the second half of the month. Located in Turgeau, the Marriott has a commanding view of the Bay of Port-au-Prince.
