Identifying solutions to food insecurity

A significant percentage of the Haitian population suffers from food insecurity. A workshop was held to identify possible alternative solutions to this problem that affects over 30% of the Haitian population, according to statistics from the National Food Security Coordination (CNSA in French).

Organized by the National Association of Fruit Processors (ANATRAF), a national forum on food security issues in Haiti was held at Le Plaza hotel on November 26, 2014. Several national and international institutions attended the “Food Security in Haiti: land, source of wealth” workshop, which aimed to increase the involvement of civil society and all other stakeholders concerned by food insecurity.
