Through a Caribbean Biological Corridor project of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), more than 50,000 USD has been invested in Bassin Bleu, Jacmel. This project was not only to conserve the biodiversity of Bassin Bleu, but also to rehabilitate it. Called "Contribution to the conservation of biodiversity in the area of Bassin Bleu / Jacmel," this project was funded by the European Union with the support of the United Nations Environment Program. It began on November 1, 2013 and ended on September 30, 2014.
