Miss Haiti 2014 Crowned

The conclusion of the epic Miss Haiti 2014 competition came to a close early in the morning of September 7, 2014 at Karibe Hotel. The program comprised spectacular performances and professional pageantry which kept the crowd of 1000 onlookers engaged throughout the night. In the end, it was Carolyn Désert’s exuberant smile and magnetic charisma which brought home the crown. The jury has spoken. Congratulations Carolyn!

No fewer than 21 hopefuls had their eye on the bejeweled headwear designed by Pascale Theard and fabricated by Lionel St. Eloi. These finalists, hailing from the four corners of the country and even the diaspora, New York City to be exact, underwent a two-month training process to prepare for that breezy September night. The pageant committee consisting of stylists, designers, and business professionals coached the young woman on civic responsibility, poise, and eloquence from dusk ‘til dawn nearly seven days a week leading up to the big night.
