The Defi Michee Network will raise awareness on civic responsibility

Christian institutions met with the Defi Michee Network during the week of July 25th to launch an advocacy campaign amongst the population of the Southeast Department. This campaign aims to raise the community’s awareness on civic responsibility through a project that will last over a year.

Speaking at the launch of the project Valéry Vital-Herne, National Coordinator of the Defi Michee Network, said that their job is basically to empower state authorities towards the Millennium Development Goals in order to eradicate poverty and hunger in the world by 2030. As presented by its managers, this project will also strengthen local governance, by ensuring community members that they will learn about their rights, their duties, and their responsibilities as local authorities.
