Meet the Miss Haiti 2014 contestants

Miss Haiti 2014 has taken a new level. The Ministry of Tourism is playing a significant role in supporting the competition. A committee was established and is chaired by Johanne Buteau. It has been working diligently in reviewing applications, selecting contestants and designing an intensive training program for the 22 contestants selected who will participate in the Pageant on September 6, 2014. They are all beautiful and we are all anxiously waiting to find out which of these special ladies will represent our country in Miss Universe.

llSyndie Désir, 22 years old, Western Department - Thomassin Nearly 5’9’’ tall with short hair, Syndie is a dynamic individual. "I love life and diversity" says this sociology major who is also involved in Rotary activities. She is among those who has already participated in a beauty contest (Miss Videomax 2013) and says bluntly that "Miss Haiti or not, my dream is to realize my socio-environmental project" One person, one action." This Mandela admirer assures that "This competition is an experience, but I am also in a competition with myself."
