With funding received from the World Bank, 200 young women received scholarships to pursue vocational training in non-traditional trades such as driving heavy machinery, mechanics, masonry, telecommunications, plumbing, and electricity.
YWCA Haiti accompanied them throughout the course, of their training by providing them with civic education, psychological support, and leadership training on topics such as sexual health, violence against gender and conflict management.
