In Tiga’s footsteps: A museum in memory of Saint-Soleil

A museum dedicated to Tiga, whose real name is Marie Pascal Jean-Claude Garoute, opened at Soissons-la-Montagne on Sunday June 22nd. The opening of the exhibition "Tiga- Inauguration of the Guy Robart Sanctuary" was held at the location where the artist, father of the Saint-Soleil Movement, resided until his departure for the United States, where he died in 2006.

This exhibition is the result of technical courses in museology taken by the second class of students in Management and Conservation of Heritage and Cultural Property. It was initiated by Quisqueya University (UniQ) in partnership with Montmorency Collège in Quebec and Imaginescence group, led by Olsen Jean Julien, former Minister of Culture. Those who attended the inauguration/opening included Jacky Lumarque, Rector of Quisqueya University, and his wife Nicole, a great collector of Saint-Soleil pieces; Guétin Exil, President of the Saint-Sole
